Investing in Property

When I won a large sum of money when playing the lottery a few years ago, I decided to invest some of it in real estate. My dad used to always tell me that bricks and mortar where a great way of protecting a large sum of money. Unfortunately, my father wasn't a real estate expert so his advice did not go beyond this very simple statement. I didn't know what to do for the best so I contacted a real estate agency. They were really great and they helped me to plan my property investments wisely. I started this blog so I could offer advice to others.

Three Office Areas That Need Daily Cleaning

Blog

When you first hire an office cleaning service, you need to think about creating an effective cleaning schedule. You want your office to be a clean and healthy environment, but you don't want to waste money by getting your cleaning company in more often than necessary for too many hours.

While some parts of your office can wait for a deeper clean every week, month or even quarter, there are some areas that your cleaning crew should work on daily. What are they?

1. Public Areas

If you have a reception in your building, then this area is the first place your clients and business contacts see. If you don't have a reception, you need to focus on the areas around your entrance doors, lifts and stairs. Public toilets also fall into this category.

In some cases, an office management company takes care of these public areas. However, if you're solely responsible for them, then you need to keep them clean.

Anyone who visits your business will notice if these areas aren't well-maintained. They'll see dirty floors, dust on surfaces, and toilets that aren't completely sparkling or stocked up with paper, soap and towels. This colours their impression of your business, so these areas typically need a daily clean.

2. Toilets

Your staff toilets need to be kept hygienic. None of your staff will want to use facilities that are dirty or that aren't set up with the right provisions.

If you don't give your toilets at least a basic clean, tidy-up and restock every day, then the rooms could pose health problems to the people who use them. This also isn't good for morale.

Ideally, your staff shouldn't even notice your toilets. They certainly shouldn't be complaining about them or feel uncomfortable about using them. So a daily clean goes a long way here.

3. Kitchens

If you provide kitchens where your employees can make hot drinks and store and heat up food for their lunches, then these areas also need to be well-maintained. A dirty kitchen is more likely to have hygiene problems; it is also potentially a bone of contention for your staff.

For example, appliances like fridges, microwaves and hobs should be clean and free from food particles and grease. Rubbish should be disposed of regularly, and benchtops should be wiped down.

If you don't get your cleaners to monitor your kitchens and clean necessary areas on a daily basis, then the atmosphere in your office could suffer. Staff may start having a go at each other if they feel that some people aren't keeping the area clean.

While you don't have to have these areas deep-cleaned all that often, a daily check and basic clean is important. To work out an effective schedule, ask your office cleaning company for advice.
